Job Description:

ACCOUNTING CLERK JOB OVERVIEWProvide administrative and bookkeeping support to Sr. Accountant and organization. Manages all communications relating to invoices, incoming bills, and customer payments.DepartmentAccountingReports To:Sr. AccountantSpecific Duties:Maintains bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as neededCommunicates with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plansCollects payment from customers and accurately record it into the systemCreates reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and lossesUpdates client accounts based on payment or contact informationSorts documents; codes, logs, reviews for accuracy; matches supporting invoices to procurement documents; and verifies invoices for payment.Prepares routine entries and posts financial transactions; reconciles entries and internal ledgers to financial reporting system reports.Researches processing problems, contacts departments and vendors to resolve problems and expedite payment, and responds to inquiries by telephone or in writing; refers complex problems for solution.Reconciles various expenditure reports to source documents; distributes and files financial documents and reportsPerforms other duties as assigned to support the departmentScheduleM-F, 8am to 4:30pmEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GEDAt least 1yr of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Key Competencies/Skills/Abilities-- Ability to perform simple accounting procedures.-- Basic data entry and/or word processing skills.-- Records maintenance skills.-- Ability to analyze and solve problems.-- Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.-- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.-- Account balancing skills.-- Ability to use an automated accounting system.-- Ability to prepare financial reports.-- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and practices.Physical RequirementsSitting in a chair at a desk for extended periods of time throughout an eight hour shiftOccasional bending, stooping, squatting, kneelingOccasional arm extension, forward, overhead and downwardFinger/wrist manipulation to input information into the computer systemLooking into a computer monitor screen throughout an eight hour shiftJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Anaheim, CA 92806: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:QuickBooks: 1 year (Preferred)Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
