As an Audit Associate, you will be responsible for the following:

• Assist in basic planning activities for the audit engagement
• Develop a balance of healthy curiosity and professional skepticism
• Complete assigned projects within engagement timelines and budget guidelines
• Suggest improvements in work process for assigned areas
• Communicate status of work and issues with immediate supervisor on a timely basis
• Handle all client engagements with confidentiality and discretion
• Be aware of other services offered by the firm and situations where they may be of benefit to the client
• Develop basic awareness of accounting practices and auditing matters
• Seek opportunities to improve technical and management skills through continuing education
• Initiate and be receptive to both formal and informal performance and development feedback
• Engage in practice development activities
• Participate in training, recruiting events, and firm activities
  Qualifications:
  • 0-2 years of public accounting experience or relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related major required
  • CPA or CPA candidate highly desirable
  • Self-starter and successful in a team-oriented setting
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting practices
  • Highly motivated, exceptional organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple client engagements, and meet deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word) and accounting systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to simplify and communicate complex business information
