As an Audit Associate, you will be responsible for the
following:
- Assist in basic planning activities for the audit
engagement
- Develop a balance of healthy curiosity and professional
skepticism
- Complete assigned projects within engagement timelines and
budget guidelines
- Suggest improvements in work process for assigned areas
- Communicate status of work and issues with immediate supervisor
on a timely basis
- Handle all client engagements with confidentiality and
discretion
- Be aware of other services offered by the firm and situations
where they may be of benefit to the client
- Develop basic awareness of accounting practices and auditing
matters
- Seek opportunities to improve technical and management skills
through continuing education
- Initiate and be receptive to both formal and informal
performance and development feedback
- Engage in practice development activities
- Participate in training, recruiting events, and firm
activities
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of public accounting experience or relevant work
experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related major
required
- CPA or CPA candidate highly desirable
- Self-starter and successful in a team-oriented setting
- Solid understanding of basic accounting practices
- Highly motivated, exceptional organizational skills and
excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple client
engagements, and meet deadlines
- Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft
Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word) and accounting
systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
(both verbal and written), including the ability to simplify and
communicate complex business information
