Responsibilities & Duties (Critical Success Factors):
--- Define strategies and initiatives that drive Targus sales revenue, profitability, and market share for a portfolio of Targus Technology product lines for the Americas; US, CA, LATAM.
--- -Use Data, Analytics & Market Research to drive sales in Retail & B2B Channels.
--- -Lead cross-functional teams consisting of members from Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Logistics to drive sales and channel execution in a timely manner.
--- -Perform ongoing market research through market data analysis, customer contact, surveys, trade shows, sales data/evaluations, and industry trends.
--- -Monitor competitors' products and conduct periodic analyses to ensure pricing is competitive in market.
--- -Identify opportunities to leverage successful SKUs/product families into new accounts.
--- -Work with marketing managers, product managers and designers to relate the voice of the customer and develop winning product strategies.
--- Actively launch new products to the sales team and channels with monthly and quarterly New Product Launch meetings.
--- Develop training materials for new product introductions for use by Sales.
--- Act as lead person in the daily collaboration with, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Sales teams to deliver on product pricing, positioning, placement, promotion and sell through.
--- Energize the Targus sales force to execute category strategies, helping them to clearly explain our vision for Targus and the mobile connected worker.
--- Develop an understanding of all elements of our business (quality, supply chain, distribution, etc.) to create a competitive advantage in the Retail & B2B channels.
--- Required to meet KPI's for the Sr. Product Marketing Manager responsibility (will also be required to meet or exceed budget numbers and inventory metrics).

Essential qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience:
--- Four-year college degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field.
--- A minimum of 5 years of similar or related work experience within computer or consumer goods industry.
--- Previous experience with technology products a plus.
--- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
--- Individual must possess initiative, good judgement, and creativity as well as public speaking abilities.
--- Highly proficient computing skills with emphasis on MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word).
--- Applicant is required to work out of our International Headquarters in Anaheim, California.
--- Individual should be a self-starter, and show a demonstrated ability in understanding, creating, and articulating the product technology, development, and marketing vision along with strategic direction for new product solutions.
--- Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and effective management of multiple priorities.
--- In addition, marketing and sales experience with retail and distribution channels, are a plus.
--- Background in Product Marketing, Product Management, Category and/or Channel Management with experience in bringing new products to market.
--- Must have experience in product pricing, competitive positioning strategies and channel programs.
--- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
--- Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
