Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible
for performing maintenance and repair tasks on various mechanical
systems and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and
effectively in a GMP processing environment. This role is critical
in maintaining operational productivity and safety in our facility.
Essential Job Functions: The main responsibility for this role is
performing routine upkeep and repair of the facility structure,
grounds, equipment and machinery, including basic corrective and
preventive maintenance. Follow safe work habits, good manufacturing
practices, plant dress codes, hygiene standards and housekeeping
requirements, good documentation practices. Facility tasks include
but are not limited to drywall patching, drywall replacement,
painting. Plumbing tasks include but are not limited to unclogging
drains, installing water lines for hand wash stations, installing a
Hot water recirculation system. Electrical tasks include but are
not limited to installation of emergency lights, light fixtures,
bulb replacement, outlet installation/relocation. Willingness to
learn how to service, diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment such
as high-speed filling and packaging machines, air compressors,
vacuum pumps, central vacuum cleaning systems, blending equipment,
dust collectors, stretch wrappers, conveyors, cappers, induction
sealers, labelers, and compactors. Troubleshoot issues with
equipment and taking actions to repair it. Operate portable power
tools and basic shop machinery for repairs, modifications,
improvements, and rebuilds of existing equipment. Assist the Sr.
Maintenance mechanics and other mechanics to troubleshoot, repair,
install, replace, and adjust equipment in the production rooms.
Positively collaborate with managers, operators and other mechanics
in assessing facility and mechanical issues and taking quick and
decisive action in making necessary repairs. Perform inspection and
cleaning work on equipment, understanding preventative maintenance,
work order and historical records and documenting details of work
performed on work orders and preventative maintenance orders. Keeps
storage facilities and equipment in an organized way and working
condition Responsible for routine maintenance and emergency
problems if needed Responds and completes maintenance service
requests in a timely professional manner Performs general
construction activities including electrical, plumbing, and minor
repairs preventative maintenance for heating, ventilating, air
conditioning, electronic controls, and refrigeration systems
Maintains daily cleanliness throughout the facility, to include but
not limited to warehouse and production areas, by sweeping,
dusting, removing trash, cleaning fixtures, equipment, floors,
restrooms, etc., while using standard power cleaning tools
Responsible for daily parts and material pick-up and deliveries
(when needed), as well as occasional manual labor, which includes
operating forklift and power equipment and heavy lifting The
position requires the ability to read instructions, understand and
write reports in English and use software to manage work requests
Lubricates moving parts and operates repaired equipment to verify
conformance to manufacturer specifications Perform preventative
maintenance, diagnose and trouble-shoot material handling
equipment, power and other related facility equipment Complete work
order entry by accurately documenting all required services
including parts and labor Follows all safety procedures in
performing work as well as company policies and any other safety
procedures necessary to complete work assignments safely. Adhere to
GMP processes and safety regulations during all maintenance tasks
Ability to work during non-business hours to complete task which
could include weekends and early mornings. Ability to work with
minimum supervision. Follow and enforce personal safety procedures
and escalate to management. Other duties as assigned. This position
has no direct reports but may assist in training coworkers and/or

Skills/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical
degree or certification in maintenance mechanics is a plus Minimum
3 years of experience in facilities repairs, such as patching,
painting, drywall repairs, plumbing, basic electrical and HVAC. Be
able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively to supervisors, operators, and other employees
regarding operation of equipment. Adding, subtracting, multiplying,
and dividing in all units of measure using whole numbers, common
fractions and decimals to complete maintenance duties. Estimating
size, form, quality or quantity of objects and speed of moving
objects. Using measuring devices such as tapes, gauges and weight
scales, micrometers, calibrated steel tapes and calipers. Strong
understanding of GMP processes and compliance Experience with
preventive maintenance and equipment maintenance practices
Familiarity with power tools and mechanical diagnostics Strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail Able to read
Standard Operating Procedures and follow instructions. Good
communication skills English fluency required, bilingual Spanish a
plus. Physical Requirements Sit, use hands & arms, twist, bend,
push or pull Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs Work is
performed both indoors and outdoors and is exposed to various
weather conditions. Able to walk up and down staircase, carrying
materials, product, and other necessary production or maintenance
related items Frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing
ladders and reaching below and above shoulders while performing job
duties. Wrist, hand and finger dexterity to operate various
