Maintenance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:WORKING SUPERVISOR FOR ANAHEIM SHOP
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Shop
Supervisor/Lead-man oversees repair and maintenance of the Anaheim
& Bakersfield Fleet.The incumbent works closely with the
Maintenance Manager, other Department Heads, Technicians, Regional
Managers and all Maintenance Employees.The incumbent oversees and
supervises all work for the maintenance crew, assigns projects,
coordinates progress, manages all aspects of workforce development
including the disciplinary process.This position requires a
secondary role as a working technician (Mechanic) with a split of
time spent working as a Supervisor and a Mechanic.MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:2-3 years of management experience5 years of
Commercial Maintenance experienceCompletion of a High School
Diploma or GED EquivalencyWorking knowledge of motor carrier rules
& regulations under CA and DOTModerate application knowledge of
modern computer and office technologyWorking knowledge Experience
in Electronic DiagnosticsBrake repair certification or
experienceStrong ability to manage people and workplace
interactions, including disciplinary proceduresAbility to obtain a
valid Commercial Drivers LicenseAbility to communicate fluently in
the English languageOr any equivalent combination of education,
training or experience that meets the classification
pre-requisites.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Supervisory
experienceAdvanced working knowledge of the transportation
industryProficiency in Microsoft Office productsDUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages the maintenance, repair and safe operation
of all commercial vehiclesOversees the overall upkeep of the
building and propertyPurchases parts and supplies as needed for the
operationCoordinates work schedules for technicians and
cleanersTracks equipment for service and preventive
maintenanceTracks and codes invoicesServes as on-call for
mechanical emergenciesEnforces company policies and
proceduresReviews work orders, assign tasks to employees and verify
the quality of work performed by doing quality pm and repair
auditsSchedules work to be performed based on routine preventive
maintenance inspectionsMaintains a safe and productive work
environmentTroubleshoots and evaluate options to determine the best
course of actionHires, develops and disciplines employeesPromotes
team building and coaching skillsEmploys a strong sense of
negotiation skillsApplies analysis of projects and coordinates
accordinglyPHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift 70
pounds at one timeMust be able to work in all types of weather
