looking for a Geospatial Mission Analyst to support mission
engineering initiatives, develop GIS-based products that provide
key insights, and integrate spatial analysis capabilities into
ongoing programs. This role requires working closely with program
teams, Business Development (BD) personnel, and internal
stakeholders to ensure mission data is leveraged effectively to
meet program goals. By utilizing GIS tools, the analyst will create
compelling mission vignettes through advanced visualizations,
analysis, and integration of multi-INT datasets. In this role, the
analyst will demonstrate the ability to extract, analyze, and
visualize mission data, leveraging GIS associated workflows.
Collaboration with other GIS staff and subject-matter experts will
be critical to achieving impactful results for both technical and
program leadership audiences. The ideal candidate will work with a
small, high-visibility GIS user team focused on Mission Engineering
and Analysis studies. This position will be located in Redondo
Beach, CA as a fully onsite role. Essential Functions: Provide
geospatial analysis, data extraction, and visualization support to
program teams and mission engineering tasks, including maps,
spatial statistics, and visual storytelling. Develop and maintain
geospatial workflows to support program decision-making through
Mission Highlights & Advocacy products, such as charts, plots, and
custom visualizations, aligning with program goals and BD/advocacy
efforts. Collaborate with stakeholders to create Mission Highlights
packages for internal and external audiences, ensuring consistency
in design and aesthetic presentation. Represent the team during
program briefings, customer interactions, and VIP visits to
communicate the role and value of the core mission offerings. Stay
current on geospatial industry trends, tools, and software to
enhance current capabilities. Leveraging available AI tools to
support productivity and innovation. Participate in mission
engineering studies to support the development of future
capabilities, system utilization assessments, and data integration.
Examples include whitepaper authoring for customer engagement and
technology marketing. Perform cross-training in relevant mission
engineering and Mod/Sim software and tools, such as STK, MATLAB,
AFSIM, to enhance GIS support offerings. This requisition can be
filled as a Level 2 Systems Engineer or a Level 3 Principal Systems
Engineer. Basic Qualifications: Level 2- Bachelor’s Degree in GIS,
STEM, Geography, or related discipline with 2 years of professional
GIS work experience Level 3- Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, STEM,
Geography, or related discipline with 5 years of professional GIS
work experience, Or 3 years of Masters, or 1 year with PhD. 1-4
years of experience with Esri ArcGIS products, including ArcGIS
Pro. Ability to research, extract, and analyze spatial and tabular
data sources, integrating them into ArcGIS projects. Proficient in
Microsoft Excel for managing and preparing data for analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for communicating mission
vignettes. Demonstrated geospatial analysis & cartographic
proficiency, supported by work projects, a portfolio, or academic
research. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt.
DoD Top Secret Clearance at time of application. Preferred
Qualifications: Proven expertise in ArcGIS Pro. Understanding of
remote sensing concepts. Solid oral presentation skills; experience
briefing executive audiences a plus. Knowledge and interest in
Space, Aerospace, and Defense missions and themes. Skilled
cartographic and visualization techniques to create clear,
engaging, and dynamic products. Proficiency with Python, SQL,
and/or Arcade scripting for automating GIS workflows. Experience
with Adobe Creative Suite. Must have an active U.S. Government
security clearance at the TS/SCI level at time of application.

LosAngelesSpace LI-DB1 Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 -
$134,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may
be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health
