This is not a remote role. Requires travel to other 2 locations once or twice a week.-- What do we do? We own and operate--Independent and Assisted Living communities in six states and we employ approximately--2500 associates who provide outstanding care for our residents. What will I do every day?

• Assist community(ies) in complying with human resources related company policies, as well as all applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, in coordination with Home Office
• Manage Human Resource Generalist (s) who will be assisting in day-to-day administrative functions of the communities
• Achieve target results in associate engagement, resident loyalty, and financial performance
• Support and coach Associates and managers regarding all Kisco human resources practices and programs, and make recommendations for improvement as needed
• Drive process and continuous improvement
• Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook and HR Policy and Procedure Manual
• Develop and administer associate training programs, ensuring--
• Work with department directors and managers on goal setting, annual performance reviews, salary adjustments, progressive counseling, and terminations
• Work with the Executive Director and Home Office Human Resources Department, as appropriate, to timely and appropriately address, investigate and resolve associate grievances and complaints
• Work with Regional Recruiter and HR Generalist to coordinate recruiting, hiring and on-boarding of new hires
• Responsible for managing the Associate Wellness programs in the communities
• Responsible for monitoring and managing the unemployment claims process including attending hearings and appeals when necessary
• Actively handle workers' compensation claims and work with Home Office Risk and Safety Specialist
• Contribute to the financial and operational success of the company by assisting with safe work practices, overall labor cost management, and operating within a budget
• Coordinate all leaves of absence in accordance with applicable policies and laws
• Responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant Associate files
• Assist Department Heads with Labor Management based on budget
• Assist in identifying and developing talent for future succession--

  • Be progressive and creative
  • Bachelor's degree with course work in business, human resources, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required, or
  • Advanced degree with slightly less experience
  • SHRM or PHR certificate
  • Knowledge of California HR regulations
