Job Description:

BHW helps individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities reach their highest potential by working collaboratively with families, schools, and relevant professionals. By focusing on ways in which people respond to their environment (behavior), we provide opportunities for them to learn in specific and observable ways, leading to a positive outcome (health) The Director of Compliance and Quality is responsible for the oversight of a comprehensive compliance program including establishing and executing goals, strategies, plans, and policies. In collaboration with executive management, identifies and implements plans for process improvement to assure that BHW conducts business and service delivery in compliance with all applicable regulations and industry best practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following: Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and implementation of all policies and systems as they are related to Compliance.
  • Provides accurate, succinct and timely responses to all compliance and quality assurance questions.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of funder requirements and various state laws as they pertain to compliance.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and implement plans for quality improvement, process improvement, and audit procedures.
  • Creates and manages effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
  • Builds relationships across the organization in order to improve processes that assure quality services and business practices
  • Assures that BHW is in compliance with local, state, federal and client/contract requirements and prepares for the annual audits associated with such compliance.
  • Informs internal departments of changes and additions to funding source requirements.
  • Monitors and responds to hotline or other sources of compliance issues
  • Assists in the development of and delivery of compliance training and education programs
  • Performs annual review/examination of the Compliance Program and recommends revisions/modifications to executive management team
  • Assists management with ongoing auditing and monitoring plans of specific risk areas and recommends additional audits of additional risk areas identified
  • Develops Compliance Program policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, healthcare administration, clinical field or other related field
    • 5-10 years of compliance work in a healthcare organization
    • 5 years of related professional experience designing and providing programs based on Health Care compliance and Audit best practices.
    • Experience at an ABA agency is preferred. You have been redirected to a Behavioral Health Works, Inc. job page
