Job Description:

The Principal, Program Management (Level 6) with experience in Naval Systems including electronics, power systems and controls. Responsible for Program Execution and Capture Management. Includes developing solutions and new business capture of Integrated Power and Energy Solutions for Maritime Power Division in Anaheim, California. Often leads one or more teams or a department. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short- to mid-term function or business area results. Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas
Specific responsibilities include: Responsible for improving upon existing or establishing new processes and systems using significant conceptualization, reasoning and interpretation. Solutions are innovative and unique and draw upon best practices based on expertise. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are often complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple functions and/or businesses. Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem. Day to day work will entail

  • Program planning and execution.
  • New business capture and proposal management in conjunction with Business Development.
  • Develop and manage system and technical solution offering for in conjunction with Engineering.
  • Develop business plans, strategic market analysis, marketing plans, competitor assessments, and capability presentations.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Support program Financial, Schedule, and Technical performance development and startup.
    Position Requirements The successful candidate should have relevant experience and a track record of performance winning competitive business opportunities on US Navy programs as a Prime Contractor or Major Subcontractor. The position requires demonstrated customer interface skills, strong interpersonal communications skills and the ability to create and independently carry through on a strategic business plan. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to help grow our business.
    • Must have or be able to attain Secret clearance
    • Expect to travel up to 20% of time Qualifications: Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function. Typically has mastery within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas. Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
      • Must have program planning and execution experience with large programs
      • Must have proposal capture experience with large DoD procurements
      • Demonstrated leadership experience in pursuit and capture of new business, especially systems integration programs
      • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
