Job Description:
A not-for-profit trade association located in Anaheim is looking
for an experienced marketing professional to help develop, manage,
and implement its marketing, public relations, and advertising
campaigns. Excellent organizational and verbal and written
communication skills are important qualifications for this
position. The ideal candidate will be a skilled multi-tasker that
works well independently and as part of a team and is committed to
consistently meeting multiple deadlines. This position will work
intimately with our marketing agency and software platform for a
significant portion of the tasks and activities and will report
directly to the Executive VP. Compensation is negotiable based on
experience and qualifications. Applicant should be willing to
commute to our headquarters in Anaheim, CA (near Katella x 57 fwy).

Responsibilities and duties include: - - - - - - - -Management and
oversight of all marketing for the company and activities within
the marketing department. - - - - - - - -Oversight of the Marketing
Coordinator role. - - - - - - -Communicating directly with trade
media and design agencies to facilitate advertising and direct
marketing campaigns. - - - - - - - -Producing and distributing a
quarterly member e-newsletter and serving as key point person for
weekly SmartBrief newsletter and weekly economic report. - - - - -
- -Development, management, and publication of all marketing
material including brochures; direct mail; electronic; websites;
online; and social media promotions. - - - - - - -Oversight and
ongoing active management of three (3) WordPress-based websites and
all social media channels. - - - - - - - -Planning and implementing
promotional campaigns including B2B advertising, online,
electronic, and direct mail campaigns. - - - - - - - -Overall
responsibility for brand management and corporate identity based on
management and team objectives. - - - - - - - - -Monitoring and
reporting on effectiveness of marketing communications and
campaigns. - - - - - - - -Maintaining effective internal
communications to ensure that all team members are kept informed as
to the progress of each marketing initiative on a regular basis. -
- - - - - - -Co-writing and distributing press releases in
cooperation with other team members. - - - - - - - -Collaborate
with internal and external clients, vendors, and partners - - - - -
- - -Manage marketing budget and show project ROI - - - - - - -
-Support of the team with other projects as needed (may not be
marketing related) - - - - - - - -Attendance and participation in
the AWFS Fair, a trade show in Las Vegas (July 2023) - - - - - -
-Other corporate travel may be required in the future (up to 10% of
total time) - - - - - - -Software used (but not limited to):
Salesforce CRM, Feathr, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, Survey
Monkey, Zoom, and others specific to trade show and association
management. -
Requirements and Qualifications - - - - - - - -A. Bachelor's degree
in marketing, business, or related field plus 5+ years of marketing
experience, OR B. equivalent 7-10 years of relevant work experience
- - - - - - - -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -
- - - - - - -Knowledge of B2B marketing strategies and applications
- - - - - - - -Strong project management, multitasking, and
decision-making skills - - - - - - - -Proficiency with online
marketing, websites and social media strategies - - - - - - -
-Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) - -
- - - - - -Graphic design experience preferred - - - - - - -
-Podcast production experience a plus - - - - - - - -B2B WordPress

media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) management

About AWFS:We are Association of Woodworking & Furnishings
Suppliers, (AWFS -) a national trade association that supports
woodworking machinery and supply manufacturers. We also own and
operate the AWFS -Fair, a Top 100 international trade show for the
woodworking industry held in Las Vegas, biennially. The next show
will take place in July of 2023. We have nearly 400 corporate
members and at our trade show, usually consisting of approximately
600 exhibitors in over 300,000 net square feet with approximately
12,000 attendees.
The AWFS team currently consists of seven members, headquartered in
Anaheim. We consider the marketing role to be critical in working
together with all other team members and supporting their
departments and projects. We are looking for someone who is
organized, a strong communicator, a strong team player, has
up-to-date marketing knowledge and experience, and is a creative
thinker.
