The Vice President of Operations for the Western region will
oversee the organization's ongoing operations and procedures. As a
key member of the senior management team, the VP of Operations
reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and
establishes policies that promote company culture and vision
through its operations. The VP of Operations is responsible for the
efficiency of the business, which includes maintaining control of
diverse business operations and establishing and following a set of
policies and processes. The VP of Operations must maintain the
highest level of integrity and lead by example in all areas.
Vice President Operations Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver results? Drive the company to achieve and surpass business
goals, including sales, profitability, and cash flow.? Oversee the
operations of the 50-branch organization to meet business goals and
projections. This includes warehouse operations, procurement (with
a focus on perishables), logistics and marketing and requires a
high-level understanding of all business functions.? Measure and
report on operational performance and develop plans to improve
relevant key performance indicators.? Strong analytical and
data-driven mindset that translates into leadership skills.
Lead the local team? Provide day-to-day leadership and management
and build a strong, stable workforce.? Possess outstanding
organizational and leadership abilities, including the ability to
recognize and cultivate rising talent.? Collaborate with the
leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational
infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and staff.? Empower
the operational team with the leadership and resources they need to
successfully complete operations initiatives.? Direct reports:
Director of Operations, Director of Marketing, Regional Operations
Managers, Food Safety, and Merchandisers.? Oversee new site
selection, real estate, and construction.
Partner across regions and with corporate center? Collaborate with
the Chief Operations Officer.? Aptitude in sound decision-making
and problem-solving in pressure situations.
Vice President Operations - Requirements and Qualifications:
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a
plus. - Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or a similar
relevant role. - Must be able to travel 2 days per week for a
period to be defined.
