The Area/Cluster Revenue Manager will assume full responsibility of implementing the revenue strategy set forth by the property's revenue strategy team which includes the Regional/Area Director of Revenue Management, Director of Sales, and the General Manager(s) for their assigned portfolio of hotels. This position is responsible for but not limited to the tactical daily revenue management practice of rate implementation and inventory management and controls, and profitable distribution throughout available channels.

Position Overview:The Area/Cluster Revenue Manager will assume full responsibility of implementing the revenue strategy set forth by the property's revenue strategy team which includes the Regional/Area Director of Revenue Management, Director of Sales, and the General Manager(s) for their assigned portfolio of hotels. This position is responsible for but not limited to the tactical daily revenue management practice of rate implementation and inventory management and controls, and profitable distribution throughout available channels.

The Area/Cluster Revenue Manager's Primary Job Responsibilities: To assist the property/area revenue management team in achieving this specific portfolio of hotels quarterly/annual top line revenue targets, maintaining a profitable distribution strategy to improve GOP margin, maximize market share index on our STR report, and ensure we're meeting the expectations of our owners and partners. To achieve this, you will be expected to meet the following tasks:


-Maximizes revenue of assigned hotels through a knowledgeable implementation of rates and restrictions in the brands RMS system by understanding the impact the hotels booking channels have on hotel profitability.
-Manages inventory allocation controls and price positioning parameters to achieve overall revenue goals.
-Fine tune the configuration of brand RMS systems by validating system rate recommendations and system forecast validation, and report daily entries and analysis to any changes implemented in the system.
-Support the Regional/Area Director of Revenue Management in the execution of hotels Revenue Management strategy.
-Work with brand managers to effectively implement strategy and analyze key brand and property specific marketing reports to make successful decisions to increase revenue.
-Maintain the hotels pricing and distribution strategy within the hotels PMS and extranets.
-Produce the internal weekly and monthly financial/ownership forecasts.
-Assist the RDRM with pricing and yield decisions across all market segments based on the forecast.
-Maintain the hotels RMS to ensure its maximizing revenue potential on all compression and special event dates into the future.
-Assist the RDRM during the annual RFP season in account analysis and pricing decisions.
-Assist the RDRM during the annual business plan process and budget load season.
-Manage the group quoting process using both manual displacement analysis and system generated RMS decision support.
-Manage group blocks within the PMS for pickup/ cut- offs/ attrition/ wash etc.
-Maintain a concise room type oversell/ sell- through strategy for all future dates.
-Manage the rate loading process for all rate plans within all systems, and continuously test book for accuracy.
-Facilitate and/or attend hotels' weekly revenue meeting.
-Produce routine reports for the RDRM and executive committee members for analysis.
