POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Director will have responsibility for developing and
maintaining broker and consulting relationships to achieve sales
growth in all product lines: medical, dental, ancillary, and
wellness. The ideal candidate will have an established broker
network within California and have a minimum of 2-3 years of
experience selling products or services to/through consultants
and/or brokers. Experience with self-funding/group health sales
preferred. --- General understanding of how employee benefits and
insurance products are delivered, purchased and financed
(self-funding).--- Ability to communicate complex concepts to
brokers and customers.--- Ability to develop detailed sales and
strategic plans that result in sales success.--- Confident and
positive with a passionate, entrepreneurial desire to drive an
organization to greater levels of success.--- Team player who
understands and supports the direction, values, programs and
business practices of Delta Health Systems at large.--- Independent
thinker with proven ability to earn and retain a "seat at the
table" with the executive leadership of an organization---
Comfortable dealing with and managing in an extremely fluid,
fast-paced environment.--- Valid Life/Health Insurance and Driver's
License required.--- Grow broker network, through prospecting on a
regular basis in order to meet or exceed assigned sales goals.---
Interface regularly with the Chief Experience Officer, Delta
TeamCare Director and Client Services Director to discuss existing
and new sales prospects.--- Identify needed internal and external
resources/staff in order to close sales. --- Maintain a regular
course of self-improvement to satisfy licensing continuing
education requirements and increase professional job knowledge.---
Location is flexible. Work from home with as needed travel to DHS
corporate headquarters in Stockton, CA.--- Other duties as
assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:
--- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relative field preferred.---
Familiarity with self-funded insurance preferred.--- Excellent
written, computer, and oral communication to diverse
populations.--- Positive, proactive team-oriented
approach/attitude.--- Well-honed organizational skills.--- Ability
to manage multiple projects, with competing deadlines.---
Flexibility in hours to meet the business needs.--- Ability to
travel. Primary market is California.--- Ability to pass
pre-employment background and Department of Motor Vehicles
check.
