Job Description:

Pacific Coast Sightseeing Tours & Charters, Inc., a subsidiary of Coach USA, the leading provider of transportation services in North America, is looking for a leader who can oversee and ensure that the safety of our employees, customers and general public is top priority. This includes anticipating, identifying, and correcting issues involving safety and being able to work with all levels of employees to implement procedures that will prevent accidents and injuries. This person will also coordinate training of CDL drivers and insure all of our drivers are empowered to operate safely. This position will report to the General Manager.

Job Title: Safety and Training Manager
Location: Anaheim, CA
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
Annual Salary: $80-100K

Responsibilities and Duties:


Provide leadership and coaching to reduce accidents and worker's compensation injuries

Manage Driver Training Program

Ensure compliance with Corporate Safety Programs

Ensure compliance with all State and/or Federal Regulations

Administer accident claims, maintain and submit monthly loss control summaries and maintain accident files

Maintain Driver Qualification files

Conduct MVRs and background checks on new hires

Maintain the Medical Management Program

Manage Company drug and alcohol program

Ensure OSHA compliance

Ensure compliance with Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)




Capabilities and/or Experience Required:


Must have a Associate's Degree or equivalent

Minimum 2-5 years of safety experience

Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Must have knowledge of State and Federal regulations for motor coach industry

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including holidays

Must be able to work in fast paced environment

Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs

Willingness to learn and grow within the position



Preferred Qualifications:


Commercial Driver's License (CDL) "B" with a "P" endorsement

DMV 3rd party testing and Grounds up training experience
