To develop and implement congruent sales strategies utilizing
market trends, data analytics and leveraging programs to enhance
the revenue in the portfolio. Ensure compliance with sales &
revenue programs and initiatives and expand the knowledge of our
revenue generating teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and Implements Revenue Strategies for Managed Hotels (35%)
:
-Leads development and implementation of total revenue processes,
for both the sales & revenue teams to ensure an aligned overall
revenue strategy for the hotel
-Partners with distribution, global sales, CRM and brand marketing
teams to ensure compliance in processes, as well as develop
strategies to maximize revenue
-Partner with global sales to ensure compliance with RFP and CCF
processes and leverage relationships to maximize revenue
-Partners with hotel leaders to analyze market opportunities,
evaluate sales results, and competition within the market
-Partners with hotel leaders to assess opportunities in group,
transient and meeting and catering sales. Develops a mix of
strategies to leverage opportunities across market segments,
specific to each property'
-Assesses the effectiveness of total revenue strategies and
partners with hotel leadership to make adjustments
-Participates in revenue and forecasting goals while monitoring and
advocating activities to achieve them.
-Directs the distribution channel strategies for managed hotels,
including: ensuring hotels maximize revenue by participating in all
appropriate channels; evaluates GDS opportunities and works with
hotels to incorporate appropriate strategies; ensures all managed
hotels maintain accurate and competitive database in all
distribution channels
-Anticipate market trends, develop and execute on strategies that
will ensure success
Leads the OMH Sales & revenue teams (25%) :
-Motivate the teams to achieve goals, develops tools, training and
resources, establish standards of productivity, evaluates results
and coaches
-Assesses the strengths and gaps of sales and revenue teams -
including evaluations, participation in key programs and
initiatives, and allocates resources accordingly
-Develops training programs working the field education and taking
advantage of the programs available at the corporate level
-Collaborates with the hotels to develop and share best
practices
-Serves as the mentor and coach of the sales and revenue team
Develops and Directs the implementation of revenue enhancement and
pricing strategies (20%) :
-Partners with the revenue optimization team to use the foundation
of tools and processes to define strategic pricing activities for
Managed Hotels, maximizing revenue and profitability
-Incorporates input from hotels, strategic alliances, Carlson
Rezidor Hotel group corporate teams, competitive analysis and
customer research to ensure appropriate strategies are in place
-Directs and provides ongoing evaluation/consultation for Managed
Hotels revenue management practices in cooperation with new
developments promoted with the Corporate Revenue optimization
planning and development department
-Ensures revenue tools are being utilized as well as supports the
filed team for implementation of the strategies at the field
level.
Serves as the revenue enhancement, pricing and technical subject
matter expert (20%)
-Continually monitors and analyzes competitive environment, makes
suggested change to Managed Hotels revenue enhancement techniques
as appropriate, and keeps corporate staff and individual hotels
informed on the competitive approaches.
-Develop new or use existing Revenue Optimization department
measurement criteria and process to track revenue enhancement
performance of individual properties and of the managed portfolio
as a whole.
-Analyzes forecasting and yield management tools in conjunction
with revenue optimization
-Ensures that revenue enhancement framework and process are
incorporated within Managed Hotels
-Monitors, analyzes and directs reporting on the revenue
enhancement performance
-Represents the OMH sales and revenue organizations to internal and
external constituents (industry organizations)
Requirements/Skills
-Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Revenue and Sales leadership
positions or hotels operations in a management capacity
-Experience managing multiple properties is preferred
-BS degree in business or related, MBA highly desired
-Strategic thinker that can draft successful road maps
-Strong total revenue skills including, selling value of our
hotels, closing deals, building relationships, strong knowledge of
pricing, yield management techniques, data analytics,
mathematics
-Working knowledge of technical systems including automated pricing
and yield management, online traction process (OLTP), CRS and GDS
system familiarity preferred
