Job Description:The successful candidate should have relevant experience and a track record of performance winning competitive business opportunities on US Navy programs as the Prime or Major Subcontractor.The position requires demonstrated customer interface skills, strong interpersonal communications skills and the ability to create and independently carry through on a strategic business plan.We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to help grow our business.Program planning and execution.New business capture and proposal management in conjunction with Business Development.Develop and manage system and technical solution offering for in conjunction with Engineering.Develop business plans, strategic market analysis, marketing plans, competitor assessments, and capability presentations.Develop and maintain customer relationships.Support program Financial, Schedule, and Technical performance development and start-up.Oversees daily operations of the business unit / organization.Ensures the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business, product competitiveness and profitability.Evaluates and decides upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.Develop and implement techniques to improve business, program, organizational efficiencies and driving profitability.Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs.Reports key results to corporate leadership.Communicates strategy and results to the business unit's employees.Coordinates the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.Ensures the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives.Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.Ensures the overall delivery and quality of the business unit's offerings to customers.Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.Engages in key or targeted customer activities.Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.Provides direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business unit.Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.Oversees key hiring and talent development programs. Education:BS in Technical Discipline or Master's degree preferred (MS or MBA)Minimum of 15-20 years' experience in program management with competitive proposal development and management experienceMinimum of 5 years proposal capture experience with large DoD procurements, Navy programs preferred.Must have program planning and execution experience with large programsMilitary experience with the US Nuclear Navy is preferred.Demonstrated leadership experience in pursuit and capture of new business, especially systems integration programsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent customer facing skillsProficient in Microsoft Office suites (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Must be able to obtain and secure a Secret clearance, TS/SCI preferred after start.Minimum 10% travel
