Football Program.Under the guidance of the Head Football Coach, our
General Manager will lead the daily operations of our talent
acquisition department, overseeing roster management, financial
allocations, and recruitment. You'll be the primary liaison for all
Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnerships, handling player
contract negotiations, agent communications, and financial
packages. You'll also play a key role in software management.If

- The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU
in San Diego.
- This is a full-time, permanent/probationary position, offering
comprehensive benefits.
- Position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible
for overtime compensation.
- Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.Department SummaryThe
Department of Athletics, utilizing the services of over 150
employees, is responsible for the intercollegiate athletics program
at San Diego State University. Currently, there are 18 sport
programs, approximately 450 student-athletes, and 17 offices in the
department.Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Professional or NCAA D1 experience in football.Key
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of college athletics administration,
professional sports administration, and/or player personnel
management.
- Knowledge of current Name, Image, and Likeness trends.
- Exceptional skills in communication, strategic planning,
organization, decision-making, facilitating change, guiding and
developing staff, and conflict management.
- Current knowledge or the ability to understand and analyze NCAA
rules and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with coaches,
players, agents, legal guardians, and university
administrators.
- Experience and/or knowledge in managing rosters, contract
negotiations, and overall budget management.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel out of
