about? The Occupational Therapist Clinical Resident at Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center in Los Angeles will evaluate and treats patients in
accordance with the prescription of the physician. Provides patient
care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of
Ethics; the Plan for the Provision of Care to Patients, the Plan
for Corporate Compliance, the Performance Improvement Plan and
Patient Education Plan. The Fellow assists in the continuous
quality improvement process and in the education and training of
students, as applicable, and assists in divisional growth and
cohesiveness to ensure a high quality of therapy care. Provides
care maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate
communication with sensitivity and attention to special
populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds,
age, developmental issues and physical disabilities. The Fellowship
Program in Occupational Therapy is designed to provide the fellow
with one year of post-graduate advanced practice which includes:
training in patient clinical practice and professional development
and may include research, operational/administrative duties or
program development. The fellow ensures completion of required
didactic, clinical and mentored hours, based upon the setting's
needs and the requirements of the program. The fellow will have an
identified clinical and research mentor. Schedule will include one
weekend day every third week.
