Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coding Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze complex inpatient, outpatient, and practitioner
billing for medical appropriateness
Assist management in daily operations and processes within the
department
Design and participate in the clinical and coding education of
coders, negotiators, and physicians
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred with completion of educational
curriculum required for medical license or coding certification
Current nursing certification or coding credential (CCS, CCS-P,
CPC, RHIA/RHIT) required
Minimum 5 years of experience in coding, medical procedure billing,
or medical insurance auditing
Extensive knowledge of inpatient/outpatient hospital billing and
coding standards
Experience with professional and facility contract interpretation
and MS Office Suites
