Job Description:

A company is looking for a Medical Economics Consultant responsible for analytics and management of value-based programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Healthcare Management Reporting process, presenting P&L performance and driving performance initiatives
Establish management processes to evaluate medical cost performance and develop action plans for improvement
Manage key business reporting and analytics deliverables to inform senior leadership on performance metrics and trends

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, actuarial science, finance, or related field preferred; relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree
Minimum of 8 years of experience in health care/managed care with a focus on Financial Planning & Analysis or Medical Cost Management
At least 5 years of experience in developing complex financial models for business decision support
Proficiency in database concepts and data analysis tools such as SAS or SQL
Understanding of P&L management principles and variance analysis
