This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled imaging professional seeking competitive compensation, stability, and an outstanding Southern California location. /nPosition Overview /nAs a Local Travel Mammography Technologist, you will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for technologists with strong mammography experience and a patient-centered approach to care. /nJob Responsibilities/n /n/t - Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with ARRT and state regulations/n/t - Operate mammography imaging equipment safely and effectively/n/t - Ensure accurate patient positioning and optimal image quality/n/t - Maintain radiation safety standards and infection control protocols/n/t - Review physician orders and patient histories prior to imaging/n/t - Provide compassionate patient care and education/n/t - Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members/n/t - Maintain accurate documentation and patient records/n /nEducation Requirements/n/n /n/t - Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology/n/t - Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology/n /nLicensure and Certification Requirements/n/n /n/t - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Radiology (R)/n/t - California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license in Radiography and Mammography/n/t - CRT – Mammography/n/t - Breast Ultrasound ARRT certification and/or RDMS Breast Ultrasound certification/n/t - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/n /nExperience Requirements/n/n /n/t - Required: Experience as a Mammography Technologist/n/t - Preferred: Mammography screening experience/n/t - Desired: Diagnostic technologists with ultrasound experience/n /n/n Why Palm Springs?
