Fire Lake Restaurant Wait Assistant Position Summary

Stylish and sophisticated, the Radisson Blu Anaheim. Upper-upscale hospitality. Stunning world class design and service Grand Opening Summer 2021.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide assistance to Bar/Lounge/Restaurant:


-Obtain service area assignment(s) at the beginning of each shift. This can include working in the bar/lounge, dining room, private party areas & beverage storage areas.
-Make sure the food line and service area are set up properly.
-Ensure accurate delivery of food to the correct position point.
-Use the full name of dish, temperature or instructions when delivering food.
-Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course.
-Clear tables after guests. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
-Promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop.
-Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed.
-Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
-Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
-Sincerely thank guests as they depart.
-Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
-Washes dishes in the absence of the dishwasher and/or as directed by the servers and manager.
Abide by legal standards and TIPS alcohol training guidelines for alcohol service to guests.

Works as a Team member to maintain pleasant work environment:

-Follows the Carlson Attendance Policy.
-Reports to work dressed according to Carlson Grooming Standards.
-Maintain a positive inter-departmental relationship through the hotel and with outside vendors.

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations:

-Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service.

-Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems.
-Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis.
-Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction.
Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guests.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Experience in similar position within an upscale restaurant environment is preferred;
-Excellent attention to detail;
-Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks;
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
-Must possess a team spirited attitude and a willingness to help;
-Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests;
-Ability to retain and give general hotel information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

-Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds;
-Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time;
-Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction;
-Ability to stand and exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift.
