Job Description:

the culture in our kitchen. Line Cooks are responsible for
providing our guests with high standard dining experience by
producing delicious, high quality food through recipe execution and
gold standard plating that highlights the exceptional quality of
our food. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Average Percent of
Time 50% Cooks, prepares/produces all breakfast meals for
restaurants suitable, for consumption according to standard recipes
to ensure consistency of product to the guest. Visually inspects,
selects, and uses all food items of the highest quality in the
preparation of all menu items. 20% Keeps adequate supply of all
prepared products on hand and ensures proper storage of all food
products and portion control, e.g., especially high-cost items. 10%
Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by utilizing proper quantities
and rotating products. 10% Keeps all refrigeration, storage, and
working areas in clean, working condition to comply with health
department regulations 10% Organizes and transfers food items into
container as needed, label and date for proper use and
identification. Turns on all kitchen equipment, such as stoves,
ovens, grills, broilers, heat lamps, steamers, fryers, etc. and
ensures all is in proper working condition. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS In
addition to performance of the essential functions, this position
may be required to perform a combination of the following
supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each
function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the
requirements of the company. Keeps floors dry and clean to avoid
slip/fall accidents. Performs general cleaning tasks using standard
hotel cleaning product as assigned by supervisor to adhere to
health standard and bring trash for removal to dumpster. Assists in
assigning duties to prep cook and/or pantry cook Reports any unsafe
conditions to chef and engineering department for service. Sets up
and maintains stock of daily food-preparation. Completes other
duties as assigned by supervisor, such as moving supplies and
equipment, etc. OTHER DUTIES Assimilate into Anaheim Majestic
Garden Hotel culture through understanding, supporting, and
participating in all elements of exceptional service. Demonstrate
working knowledge of the service standards. Regular attendance in
conformance with the standards, which may be established from time
to time, is essential to the successful performance of this
position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry,
employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the
business needs of the hotel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical

Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that
may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel
will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the
proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility
to report defective, damaged, or lost PPE, or equipment that does

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY The individual must
possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able
to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential
functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods
weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on continuous schedule. Ability to
perform duties within extreme temperature ranges. Ability to read,
write, speak, and understand the English language in order to
complete requisitions read recipes and communicates with other team
members. Ability to stand and to work continuously in confined
spaces. Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes,
measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes. Enough manual
dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e.,
knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slices, etc. Good working
knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation. Good working
knowledge of the fundamentals of the broiler, fry, roast, moist
heat and other cooking methods. Knowledge of operating all kitchen
equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, steamers, kettles, etc.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty

to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High
School graduate and Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
Cooking experience required. Experience in a hotel/restaurant
environment preferred. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES 2-3 years of
experience in related field preferred. Must obtain any government
required licenses or certificates, for example, California Food
Handlers. CPR/First Aid preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read
and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and
memos. Ability to effectively communicate with Hotel Guests,
Coworkers, or supervisors who only speak English. Ability to speak
a common language to promote safety in case of an emergency.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations. GROOMING/UNIFORMS
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed
appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of
clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation
process. WORK ENVIORNMENT The work environment characteristics

NOTICE: Th e hospitality business functions seven days a week,
twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality
business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at
all times. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully

operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules
and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and
