service.Key ResponsibilitiesFollowing standards and procedures to
provide timely, accurate, and friendly service by:Ensuring the
opening checklist is completed and that the restaurant is prepared
for openingIn the absence of a host, reviewing reservations,
establishing a floor map for smooth seating, and assigning server
sectionsAssuring staff is aware of beverage specialsObserving
customers as they enter the restaurant and assure they are greeted
promptly and properly and seated in a friendly mannerMonitoring and
observing guests' dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied
with the food and serviceResponding promptly and courteously to any
requestsBeing available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth
operation of the lounge and restaurantTaking beverage orders from
guests and serversPreparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic
drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink
recipesPresenting drink menus, making recommendations and answering
questions regarding beveragesUp selling drink specials and food
items as directed by managementLearning the names of patrons and
personally recognizing regularsRecording drink orders accurately
and immediately into the Point of Sale systemAccepting guest
payment, processing credit card charges and making change (if
applicable)Washing and sterilizing glassware and bar
tools/utensilsPreparing garnishes for all drinks and ensuring
freshness, labeling and properly rotating of product.Maintaining
bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to
support efficient drink preparation and promotion of
beveragesClearing and resetting tables in the bar areaMaintaining
cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks,
utensils, shelves and storage areasReceiving and serving food
orders to guests seated at the barReporting all equipment problems
and bar maintenance issues to restaurant managerWashing glasses and
dishes in the absence of the dishwasher and/or as directed by the
managerEnsuring the bar is ready for the next shift including
completing all necessary cleaning duties, ensuring the bar is up to
health code in all respects and checking out with a manger before
leavingAssisting the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory
and suppliesCompleting all side-work dutiesDropping cash in the end
shift drop boxAbiding by legal standards and TIPS alcohol training
guidelines for alcohol service to guestsWorking as a team member to
maintain pleasant work environment:Maintaining positive
inter-departmental relationships with the hotel and with outside
vendorsFollowing the Carlson Attendance PolicyReporting to work
dressed according to Carlson Grooming StandardsCreating 100% guest
satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through

restaurant/lounge bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or
upscale environmentHigh school diploma requiredStrong oral and
written communication skillsCandidate must have exceptional people
skills with the ability to build trusting
relationshipsOrganizational, time management skills and the ability
to network within the business arena, a must haveKnowledge of
local, state and federal liquor laws and regulationsAbility to
multitask and work well under pressureBasic computer skills in
Microsoft Office Suite and have worked with a Point of Sale
systemPhysical DemandsLong hours are sometimes required, ability to
work flexible scheduleAbility to stand for long periods of
timeAbility to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull
up to 75 poundsGood manual dexterity for the use of common office
