Job OverviewWe are looking for a Executive Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team at Hilton Garden Inn & Holiday Inn Express, We are an ambitious company in need of someone who will take on the crucial role of supporting the success of our housekeeping team through supporting the management team. The person in this role must be highly organized, efficient, task oriented, a quick learner and capable of multitasking. This position will be heavy on administrative & delegating duties within the housekeeping department.This positionrequires a strong individual who is dedicated to working extra with other department managers to execute and reinvent projects needed in the rooms to improve the quality of the customer. A flexible schedule is also a must as there may be occasions where extra hours or weekend time will be needed to ensure business needs for the department are met. Hours required for this position are from9am-5pm. Days off will vary due to business needs and subject to Director of Operations request. This role reports directly to the Director of Operations.What you'll do---.Supervise the allocation of work assignments to Room Attendants and Porters toensure maximum coverage Assign special duties to Room Attendants and House Porters on assigned floors Check the computer system throughout the day for an update of room status andcommunicate with the front desk and engineering Check and return an allocated number of guest rooms to the standard required bythe hotel Report and log any maintenance defects found in the rooms and assigned areas.Liaise with the front desk and engineering regarding all out of order rooms andother defects Oversee implementation of deep cleaning and replacement Ensure corrective action where necessary and inform the Director of Operationsregularly on the performance of each staff member Responsible for the identification of training needs, conduct training of roomattendants and porters where appropriate Check on a daily basis the arrivals, departures, and VIP lists Check rooms to ensure they are cleaned and maintained to the required standard Ensure VIP gifts are replenished Conduct team briefings, daily line ups, monthly meetings as required Check that adequate linen, cleaning materials, and guest supplies are held in eachfloor linen and supply closets Ensure all storage areas are kept clean, safe and are within a local fire, safety, andhealth codes Handle guest requests, inquiries, and complaints with immediate action andthorough follow up Assist in stock-taking of housekeeping items when necessary Assist in monitoring and controlling housekeeping procedures, including lostproperty, key and pager control, security, and emergency procedures Report immediately any matters concerning the security of the floors or publicspaces to the security department Report immediately any valuable lost property to security and to log packages andall other lost property Assist fellow employees to perform similar or related jobs as and when necessary What we're looking for---High School Diploma or equivalent required One to two years in a similar public contact position, preferably in an upscale orlifestyle brand hotel Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of salesystems Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high-levelattention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees anddepartments Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote anenvironment of teamwork Physical Abilities: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 75pounds without assistance Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending,climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, andstooping Requires manual ability to use, carry, and operate all necessary equipment PI187852603
