Job Description:

The Human Resource Generalist will lead and direct all aspects of Human Resources for the Company, including interviewing and hiring staff, onboarding, administering pay, benefits, leaves of absence, managing employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Partners with the leadership team to develop and execute personnel procedures and policies as it relates to business operations, HR objectives and systems including metrics and standard reporting.Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when questions and issues arise; administers and executes routine duties, facilitating leaves of absence, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.Manage full-cycle recruitment for Union and Non-Union employees, including onboarding, new hire orientation and benefits overview.Assist leadership with performance management, documentation, performance issues, and facilitate performance and/or termination meetings.Administer benefits for Union and Non-Union employees, addressing questions and concerns.Establish and maintain cohesive relationship management with Union stewards and union representatives.Administer leave of absences, unemployment claims, and insurance claims for store incidents and vehicle accidents.Monitor and update COVID-19 program and documented related employee absences.Manage DMV pull program and DOT program and ensure proper documentation.Oversee workers compensation claims process and annual reporting requirements.Complete all personnel related inquiries, i.e., verifications of employment.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.Ability to adapt and work with minimal supervision.Understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote, and Outlook) or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.Education and Experience:Three to Five years of experience in similar roleUnion experience preferredBilingual, Spanish is a plus
