ABOUT ENCORPS STEM TEACHERS PROGRAM:At EnCorps, we challenge

injustice preventing students of color from entering the future

committed STEM professionals to volunteer and teach in communities

POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive
Director, the National Recruitment Director will provide essential
support to EnCorps' mission to empower the best and the brightest
science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professionals, as
an innovative, long-term solution to the shortage of high quality,
impactful educators for students in under-resourced
communities.
Enduring STEM achievement, access, and literacy gaps
disproportionately limit opportunities for students of color and
students in under-resourced communities. STEM professionals, when
thoroughly prepared, are uniquely positioned to meaningfully
utilize their talent and real-world expertise as EnCorps STEM
Teachers to deliver an authentic, rigorous, and relevant STEM
education to students.
The National Recruitment Director is a full-time, 40 hours/week,
position. The National Recruitment Director will lead the
recruitment team and manage recruitment and communication goals and
deadlines as EnCorps continues to grow. In this role, the National
Recruitment Director will focus on building the recruitment,
onboarding, retention, and communication functions of the
organization. This role represents the organization as the first
point of contact for incoming staff and volunteers, serving as an
ambassador for EnCorps.

POSITION LOCATION: Remote (CA)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Recruitment Strategy, Development, and
Leadership
- Sets national recruitment vision and direction as EnCorps'
expands into new regions.
- Oversees and manages full lifecycle recruitment (post, source,
prescreen, schedule, references, offer, onboarding, etc.) of
full-time, part-time, temporary and intern personnel as well as
EnCorps educators.
- Sets vision and drives forward special projects including
referrals program, interview and selection processes, outreach to
partners, new initiatives, etc.
- Leads recruitment team in the creation and updating of
materials, such as online postings, photos, interview day
PowerPoint templates, interview day rubrics, application
auto-emails, etc.
- Serves as business partner with hiring managers to develop
effective sourcing and recruitment strategies. Develops effective
relationships within the organization and the hiring community to
have influence and impact the recruiting process.
- Develops and implements creative and innovative sourcing
strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified
candidates, through the use of internet, social media, and other
online resources. Sets vision and drives forward special projects
including referrals program, outreach to partners, new initiatives,
etc.
- Analyzes recruitment-related data to drive decision making and
improve upon organization-wide recruiting processes.
- Ensures an exceptional recruitment experience for all
candidates and ensures that high-quality messages are delivered
across the different channels of phone, e-mail, and in-person.
- Develops service-level agreements to ensure effective and
efficient recruitment lifecycle.
- Drives all aspects of EnCorps' social media presence including
the management of a social media intern, the creation of a
media-rich collateral portfolio, and the management of all EnCorps'
communication projects.
- Develops and updates the website, including quarterly and event
updates, adding press, photos, videos, and infographics.
- Represents EnCorps at national conferences, national
recruitment presentations or webinars.
- Serves as an advocate and ambassador for EnCorps.
Recruitment Team Management
- Defines roles and responsibilities of recruitment team.
- Fosters a strong sense of team and collaboration across Program
& Recruitment teams.
- Holds recruitment team accountable for executing regional
activities, campaigns, and garnering results within their support
areas.
- Provides thought leadership as well as tools and systems to
foster strong recruitment practices across EnCorps' programs.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, onboards, and trains new
recruitment staff and EnCorps volunteers.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department including the
implementation of all regional recruiting activities.
- Drives performance management of Recruiter(s) by setting,
tracking, communicating goals and providing constructive
feedback.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees within the
department in accordance with company policy.
Recruitment Systems, Budget and Operations
- Leverages technology to improve efficiency and manage
workflow.
- In coordination with the Executive Director, develop and track
the national recruiting budget and operating plan.
- Manages relationships with vendors and freelancers on projects
and ongoing efforts such as graphic design, website management,
Google AdWords, Salesforce, LinkedIn, etc.).
Organizational Support
- Works with the Leadership Team in the development and execution
of EnCorps' strategic goals and objectives.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the
organization's talent strategy particularly as it relates to
current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and
succession planning.
- In collaboration with the leadership team, support the
maintenance and execution of the performance management system,
including current job descriptions, standards of performance, and
performance evaluation instruments.
- Creates and maintains an environment of equal employment

QUALIFICATIONS:We are seeking candidates who believe deeply in our
organization's mission, who thrive in a dynamic environment, and
who demonstrate a record of achievement. Successful candidates will
also demonstrate:
- 8+ years of recruitment experience (in an education or
nonprofit setting preferred);
- 5+ years of team management experience;
- General admin and human resources experience preferred;
- Outstanding interpersonal, relationship building, and teamwork
skills;
- Flexibility and the ability to work well independently while
collaborating with others on meeting common goals;
- Ability to analyze data and be able to report trends and
patterns;
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills, and
attention to detail;
- Experience working with computers, including a strong working
knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and CRMS (Salesforce)
preferred;
- Experience with digital platforms (Google Suite) and social
media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and
YouTube);
- Experience with content creation, Google Ads and Analytics,
Wordpress and basic graphic design (Canva) preferred;
- A willingness to work non-standard hours and/or occasional
evenings;
- Willing to travel for national business, reliable
transportation required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Work from home and create your own flexible schedule;
- Salary range - $78,000 - $90,000;
