Benefits: --- Medical --- Dental --- Vision --- 401(k) Matching --- PTO --- Free Meals --- Employee Referral Program Requirements: Classification: Exempt Salary Reports to: Payroll and Benefits Supervisor/ Director of Human Resources Summary: The Human Resources Department Fresh N Lean is looking for a dynamic team player with an expertise in Payroll and Benefits. This person will own the payroll process along with managing the day-to-day function of our benefits program for our organization. This person will report directly to the Payroll and Benefits Supervisor and will work cross functionally with all members of the Human Resources department and all departments within our organization. All employees are responsible to follow all of Nutrition Corp. protocols of Food Safety. Essential Functions: Payroll --- Responsible for overseeing the bi-weekly payroll cycle to ensure our employees get paid in a timely and accurate manner. --- Process all payroll procedures including earnings, garnishments, tax withholding, and bonus payments. --- Ensure timesheets are submitted and approved timely with corporate and Operations management. --- Be Paylocity reports guru and provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed. --- Helps to prepare and distribute detailed reports, e.g., overtime, PTO, WC, ACA --- Subject matter expert, the go-to person to resolve payroll and benefit matters and continuously looks for improvements in processes and designs and implements those initiatives. --- Ensure the accurate and timely filing of payroll taxes, payments, and other statutory information requests (DOL) in multiple jurisdictions. --- Partner and collaborate with the Benefits administrator and HR Team on various aspects, including onboarding new hires, terminations, and other changes impacting payroll. --- Maintain confidentiality of any payroll, private employee information and any proprietary information and ensures payroll information is secure. --- Assist employees with HR related topics such as payroll inquiries, compensation, and other HR and company programs. --- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations. Benefits --- Responsible for processing of billing/invoices (and reconciling/resolving billing discrepancies). Assist benefit administrator with day-to-day administration, including but not limited to maintaining enrollment and eligibility data (including processing qualifying events/changes). --- Responsible for 401(k) plan administration as it relates to payroll and contributions --- Maintain compliance with ACA reporting and year-end documentation of 1095/1094s. --- Provides account reconciliation support to Finance --- Performs other duties as assigned. Critical Skills: --- Advanced Excel skills desired (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas). --- Advanced analytical and strong modeling skills. --- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines. --- A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations. --- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. --- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. --- This position requires full time hours from our Anaheim location. Use of company communication devices, laptop, desktop, software/ app-based platforms. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work may vary time to time based on business demand which include weekends or long hours. Travel Travel may apply at the company's expense Required experience/education: --- Minimum of 4-5 years working as Payroll & Benefits administrator with multi-state payroll experience. --- Robust experience with Paylocity systems strongly preferred. --- Fluent in English and Spanish - oral and written is a must.
