The Signia brands are leaders in their respective markets and provide a compelling value proposition to both aerospace and defense OEMs and end-users.Job DescriptionThe Signia Mission Systems companies are growing through a recent acquisition in Anaheim, CA. We are hiring an HR Generalist to join our team to integrate the business into the Signia Mission Systems companies and to provide continued support to the business. In this role, the Human Resources Generalist will be the onsite HR presence at our 200+ person manufacturing facility.The HR Generalist manages employee engagement initiatives, employee and labor relations, benefits, LOA and workers compensation, performance management, and the employee lifecycle from recruitment to promotion to separation. The HR Generalist must be able navigate complex CA employment law and labor law for a unionized workforce.Job Responsibilities Process and execute bi-weekly and monthly, multi-state and international payroll cycles and timekeeping systems.Ensure compliance with payroll-related laws, regulations and reporting requirements including working with federal and state agencies to execute appropriate payroll functions as required.Train and support supervisors to ensure leaders are informed on wage and hours laws and company policies and procedures.Process benefits enrollments, changes and terminations.Maintain Human Resource Information System/Payroll records and compile reports from database as needed.Work with payroll vendor to optimize the platform and correctly account for all payroll deductions to third parties and tax authorities.Administers employee benefit programs, including eligibility determination, new hire benefit enrollment, and qualifying life status changes.Facilitates and interacts with brokers on Benefits, Retirement and Workers compensation; assists employees with questions and resolves issues.Meets compliance requirements pertaining to retirement funds, overtime, garnishments, advances, paybacks, etc.Coordinate benefit premium billing and payment reconciliation for carriers; submit check requests and back-up documentation to Accounting for processing.Manages the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required.Resolves employee questions related to pay, benefits deductions and ensures follow upSupport benefits enrollment, compliance, auditing and ensuring good vendor/company relationship.Requirements: 4+ years' experience in Payroll processing required in multi-site, multi-state or international payrollProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong working knowledge of technical HR software, developing reportsPaylocity experience preferredBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting or another related field preferredThe pay range for this role is $26.00-36.00/hour All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, age, marital status, pregnancy, genetic information, or other legally protected status.
