Planning & Operations Director, Global Development Operations What
you will do Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role
you will leads the company's strategic planning initiatives and
oversees its operational performance, working with leaders across
the organization to implement the strategic vision. Amgens Global
Development Operations (GDO) organization delivers high quality
data to advance our pipeline through strong customer partnership
and operational excellence in study execution. The Strategic
Planning & Operations (SP&O) Director will partner with the GDO
senior leadership team and cross-functional teams to lead execution
of organizational plans, engagement and communication plans,
day-to-day business operations and presentations to internal and
external stakeholders. The Global Development Operations SP&O
Director is key in driving alignment across R&D strategies,
portfolio priorities, organizational objectives, budget and
resourcing. This leader will be accountable for leading a team of
SP&O professionals. Key responsibilities of this position will
include the following: In partnership with the Global Development
Operations SVP, lead and effectively organize high functioning
meetings and orchestrate townhalls, events and presentations to
drive engagement and sense of purpose that align with the
organizations goals Collaborate with AVP, GDO Operational
Excellence Execution, Human Resources, Finance and other business
partners to execute organizational priorities or define options and
actions to support prioritization decisions Serve as a key liaison
between Global Development Operations SVP, Global Development
Operations leaders and other key stakeholders to drive alignment on
priorities, communicate decisions and progress actions In
partnership with AVP, Operational Excellence will gather, analyze,
and synthesize cross-functional information across a variety of
sources to maintain knowledge of Global Development Operation
execution model, initiatives and portfolio assets to identify hot
spots for senior leadership team discussion, alignment to a
strategic business plan and subsequent goals and objectives for
GDO. Leverage such materials to prepare executive status updates
and presentations Assure the SP&O team deliver a consistent
framework across the GDO function for the execution the operational
plans for GDO to include the resource management plan, the
communication and engagement plan, the capability plan, training
requirements and to support the delivery of the functional budget
and financial targets as appropriate to enable effective
summarization of drivers, trends and metrics Leverage the SP&O
team to assure we understand the pulse of GDO staff across the
globe and incorporate their feedback and needs in our operational
plans Mentor, manage and develop a high-performing team that
deliver on business operations and oversee administrative support
strategies for Global Development Operations Represent Global
Development Operations and provide subject matter expertise to
cross-functional initiatives and provide insights to inform
initiative objectives and decisions Contribute to high-impact
cross-functional/functional initiatives of strategic importance to
the business and execute any other emerging tasks requested by the
Global Development Operations SVP What we expect of you We are all

qualifications. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 4 years
experience in biopharma setting, OR Master's degree and 7 years
experience in biopharma setting, OR Bachelor's degree and 9 years
experience in biopharma setting Preferred Qualifications: MBA.,
PhD, PharmD, or Masters Degree with 10 years work experience in
life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry, preferably with 4 or
more years of experience in R&D Proven leader who has
experience leading cross-functional teams and complex programs
related to the biopharmaceutical industry Demonstrated expertise in
transforming complex information into clear and concise messages
for diverse audiences throughout the organization Excellent
conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to
bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope
problem solving approach, and manage execution Proficiency in data
analysis to identify trends, present actionable insights and define
key performance indicators relevant to business objectives
Excellent cross-functional communication skills and a decisive yet
affiliative leadership style to drive results while maintaining
relationships Strong influencing skills with a demonstrated ability
to influence different styles and individuals at multiple levels in
organization Demonstrated organization management experience

expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding
Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several
factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience,
