Job Description Description --- CNC OD/ID Grinder Position: The acceptable candidates shall be required to set up and operate CNC STUDER OD and ID grind equipment with minimal supervision. Grinding faces and diameters holding tolerances of between .0005"-.00005." Ability to inspect faces and diameters using micrometers, gages, and amps. Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and collaborate with management staff and supervisor. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques is helpful. Overtime generally required. 1st piece and in-process inspection of work required. Job Requirements:--- Set-up and operate CNC OD/ID grinder to meet production and quality requirements. Essential Job Functions: Ability to operate machinery as required Verify part quantity with the job traveler Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler Set-up machines Determine when wheels need replacement Assist in determining to tool & fixturing needs Use inspection methods to determine size changes Understanding blueprints & travelers U.S. Citizen or Green Card Required Shift/ Hours: 1st Shift (7am to 4pm) Universal Punch Corp. a ISO9001 facility which manufactures precision gages, medial driver instruments, splines, shafts, housings & other medial components and assemblies.
