today!Scope: - Responsible for overall supervision and coordination
of the QC inspection area. - Plans, organizes, and accomplishes the
daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals with regard to quality,
safety, productivity, on time delivery, and cost performance. -
Monitors quantitative performance metrics of department
employees/processes and makes corrective actions as required to
attain goals established by management. - Creates an environment
where employees are motivated and rewarded for achieving high
levels of performance. - Maintains full adherence to the company's
Quality Manual and existing certifications (AS9100, NADCAP,
MIL-31032, etc) and assures all employees are fully trained to
assure full compliance across all shifts to ensure all products are
inspected and meet the established criteria set forth in customer
prints, referenced certifications and/or specific statements of
work (SOWs). Responsible for contributing to the achievement of
total customer satisfaction by providing high quality and timely
service to all internal and external customers.Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the QA Manager, supervise and provide
input on various personnel related activities such as Time &
Attendance, Staffing, Employee Relations, Training, Certification
and Performance Appraisals.
- Ensure that product quality and reliability are maintained
throughout the QC process to meet customer prints, PO requirements
and/or customer SOWs.
- Partner with Production Control and PAMs/Leads to facilitate
execution of the manufacturing schedule on a daily basis to assure
effective execution to the Mfg plan / OTD requirements.
- Partner with HR to lead the hiring process for new QC
personnel
- Develop and mentor personnel by providing coaching, guidance
and training. - Develop training materials and aides in support of
departmental needs and/or customer requirements.
- Ensures adequate capacity and utilization using quantitative
analysis and tracking.
- Provides employee training on safety and the proper handling of
all product, hazardous waste and chemicals. - Proactively supports
a safe work environment by identifying and resolving risk and
monitoring personnel to ensure all safety precautions are in place
and being followed.
- Develop, compile and communicate department reports, metrics
and measures in alignment with plant output goals and
expectations.
- Resolves or escalates issues in a timely manner to immediate
supervisor or HR as needed.
- Leads daily work area huddles/whiteboard meetings to assure
effective communication of goals and objectives.Essential Knowledge
and Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities. - Leverages each
member's strengths and creates a motivating environment for their
team to achieve desired results. - Able to communicate goals and
inspire the organization to achieve them. - Provides clear,
frequent direction to subordinates, and support functions, in
support of department/plant goals.
- Ability to become an expert on IPC standards for raw printed
circuit boards.
- Ability to become an expert on IPC standards for circuit card
assemblies.
- Ability to read, interpret and train employees in the use of
customer prints and SOWs.
- Strong customer service and quality orientation
- Capable of developing and executing effective plans with
assistance from Operations Manager, Quality Manager and Production
Control Manager; identifying obstacles and issues and communicating
to get things resolved.
- Ability to support improvement initiatives and mentor others in
the effective application of quantitative/structured problem
solving techniques and methods. Provide Quality inputs based on
product attributes and internal department yield information.
- Able to tolerate stress and maintain effectiveness and a
positive work environment in a fast paced production environment
with multiple priorities
- Able to learn and utilize computer systems to perform assigned
work.
- Develop a culture that promotes positive employee
relations.
- Participate in larger scope improvement tasks as reviewed and
approved by management.Education and Experience:Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field desired. - - -

- 3-5 years of related experience. - - - - -Preferred Experience
- Prefer printed circuit board manufacturing, engineering and/or
quality experience; -
- PCB Assembly experience
