Job Description:
Our non-profit client is looking for a Product/Visual Designer
to join their organization.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience working on digital
products, strong visual design skills and the ability to
incorporate data and data analysis into designs.
VISUAL DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:- You will be working on
re-designing the client's corporate website - a company wide effort
of 50,000+ pages- Develop concepts, mockups, prototypes and
polished visual design iterations- Think holistically about the
product from start to finish, considering the end-user experience
while maintaining brand guidelines- Conduct usability studies to
identify opportunities for improvement- Products you will work on
include digital articles, interactive graphics, data
visualizations, microsites and data tools.
VISUAL DESIGNER REQUIREMENTS:- 6+ years of experience working on
digital design products.- A strong portfolio of work that
demonstrates an ability to implement effective, user-centered
solutions.- Expert with Adobe Creative Suite and prototyping tools
like Adobe XD, Figma, or UXPin.- Ability to take complex concepts
and break them down visually and interactively.- Experience with
incorporating data and data analysis into designs.- Strong visual
and typographic sensibility.- Understanding of web accessibility
standards and inclusive design best practices.- Able to
persuasively present design solutions to clients to generate
excitement and consensus.
NICE TO HAVES:- Experience with data visualization tools, e.g., R
Shiny, Tableau, D3- Experience with user research methodologies and
practices.- Experience with large, high-traffic sites and content
management systems.- Previous work at a policy organization or
media company.
