Come join our team and see for yourself why so many enjoy being a part of the ATI family! _Please check us out on the web at for a sneak peek of our facilities and precision machining abilities._ A Day in the Life of a QC Inspector Your role would be working with our QC Inspection team, using various techniques and inspection tools to verify the quality and dimensions of manufactured parts. Please see more specifics below: Inspects finished parts in order to classify products for use, rework or scrap. Measures dimensions of product, using various measuring instruments, such as indicators, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, to verify conformance to specifications. Compares findings with customer specifications to ensure conformance to standards. Collects or selects samples for testing. Reads work orders to determine inspection criteria. Computes statistical data using computer software and prepares appropriate reports. Notifies supervisor or specified personnel of deviations from specifications. Examines product or monitors processing of product, using any or all of five senses, to determine defects. Records inspection or test data, such as hardness, size, surface finish, run-out, and quantity inspected. Prepares reports for customers, including defect reports for customer disposition. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need An ideal team player mindset: drive, humility and people smarts. 1 - 2 years of inspection experience minimum; aerospace industry experience preferred. Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
