Job Description:
SUMMARY The Plant Controller provides financial leadership to
the Compton, CA Roofing & Asphalt Plant. This position reports
directly to the plant leader with dotted line reporting to the
manufacturing financial leader to drive results. The Plant
Controller is responsible for maintaining a controls environment
that complies with the Company's internal control policies and
Sarbanes Oxley and oversees shipping operations. The Plant
Controller is expected to be a dynamic leader on the plant
leadership team by contributing to all areas of plant management.
The position is an important part of the financial talent pipeline
and serves as a feeder for larger plants as well as corporate roles
(i.e. Mfg Financial Leader, Segment Analyst, etc.). This individual
will also be responsible for controls at all third-party logistics
warehouses in the USA for the Components business. JOB DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Operations Planning Participates in the
development of operational objectives for the plant that are
aligned to Corporate and Division strategic objectives Leads
proactive development of contingency plans, productivity
improvement and corrective actions to ensure facility financial
results and shareholder value are optimized. Metrics Operations
plans executed Process expectations and timing 2. Financial and
Operational Controls Ensures that there is an effective and
efficient system of internal controls including; data integrity,
asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial
reporting, information systems and adherence to corporate policies
and governmental regulations (GAAP, SOX compliance, etc.) Drives a
robust representation letter process that provides assurance and
visibility to a sound internal control environment. Leads the
Continuous Sign-off process to ensure that accountability for
internal controls is clear and that processes are documented.

and utilization of people. Acts as a resource to the non-financial
leaders of the business providing education and training on the key
principles of Finance Invests in the growth and development of
identified talent in their organization. Ensures succession plans
are executed for focus roles Examples Rate of turnover Rate of
turnover for poor and marginal performers Talent additions through
external recruiting Number of turnovers of high performance and
high growth talent Talent developed and promoted under their
leadership 7. Plant process and administrative leadership Leads
controls process/compliance at third-party logistics warehouses and
observes inventory counts as needed Assigns resources and provides
support and direction Monitors and holds self and others
accountable for safety Ensures delegation and successful completion
of site security functions such as; managing/implementing OC
security standards; quarterly assessments of security equipment;
site contact for security audits and visits JOB REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Bachelor's degree
in finance, accounting or relevant discipline required Providing
leadership to teams within a manufacturing organization - such as
leading operations planning, savings, forecasting Delivering
continuous improvement. Demonstrated high growth in previous
experience Participating in the development of strategic plans
Negotiating, developing, and evaluating customer and supplier
contracts Attracting, developing and retaining outstanding
talent-growing talent and succession planning. SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability,
knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles
- understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics Demonstrated
ability to teach and communicate clearly and concisely Demonstrated
ability to manage and control costs - effectively develops business
cases and enrolls leaders to take appropriate action Demonstrated
ability to develop deep knowledge of customers, competition, and
market and uses this information to drive customer and product
profitability Demonstrated ability to think strategically and
execute strategic directions Broad operating style, ability to
adapt across cultures, environments, and styles. Forward thinking
leadership abilities, including ability to motivate, lead by

highest ethical and moral standards The base salary range for this
position is $113,850-$148,350 with the potential for up to an
additional 25% if the applicant hired has additional related
