Job Description:
A company is looking for a Prebill Inpatient Coder Specialist to
work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and coordinate corrections on the 3M OCE/EAPG report based on
patient records
Combine related accounts according to payer requirements and
maintain accuracy in claims generation
Maintain knowledge of coding systems and participate in continuing
education to ensure compliance and proficiency
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding
Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) credential
Completion of a coding certificate program or significant coding
experience prior to earning CCS or CCS-P credential
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) with an associate's
degree or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with a
bachelor's degree
3-5 years of recent acute care hospital outpatient coding
experience
Experience with the 3M OCE report or charge capture determination
in complex departments
