Job Summary:As the Workforce Business Analyst, you will creatively apply technical, statistical, and project management skills to develop efficient and accurate workload and staffing plans for all Resort locations. This includes forecasting, ad hoc analysis, database development, and partnership with Line of Business leadership, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Training, Disney University, Casting, and other Resort partners to identify solutions for meeting both Guest Service and Financial labor targets. You will help develop staffing-related projects and provide leadership, mentoring, and ongoing development to the Workforce Business Specialist.You will report to the Manager, Business Workforce Analytics.Position Responsibilities: Leverage all available technical resources to proactively identify and implement opportunities for improved efficiency which effectively balances Cast, Guest, and Financial objectives. You will identify trends, recommend solutions, influence outcomes, and validate assumptions with the Line of Business leadership, Industrial Engineering, Scheduling, Casting, Training, Disney University, and Finance Teams to navigate change and drive business results including:Responsibilities/You Will:

  • Mentor and develop peers and lead one or more hourly Cast Member(s)
  • Provide strategy for complex forecasting of transactions (e.g., multiple lines of business, multiple properties, differing forecast models/types) using the appropriate goals, including monitoring the accuracy of the forecast and adjusting inputs.
  • Forecasting of various workforce metrics supporting demand and staffing, including transactions, separations, and absences
  • Gather and analyze metrics from disparate sources, including validation and summary of findings to create an actionable story for clients and partners to guide decision making
  • Develop tools and processes to support improved workload/staffing utilization and partner with appropriate teams during development and implementation
  • Perform quantitative and/or qualitative ad hoc analysis for workforce strategies including Cast impact analysis and mitigation recommendations -
  • Validation, review, and submission of weekly workloads for Scheduling teams
  • Make day-to-day decisions within scope, and have an awareness of when an issue or decision should be escalated to leadership for direction or visibility
  • Guide and develop Annual Operating Labor, Staffing, and Training Plans.
  • Lead and follow confidentiality training regarding all communication, data, and intellectual property.

    • Demonstrated strong technical and analytic skills
    • Proven change agent striving for continuous improvement
    • Demonstrated creative problem-solving and ability to drive change and negotiate with various levels of Leadership
    • Ability to synthesize multiple data inputs to create an actionable story for clients
    • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships with a focus on Guest Service
    • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidaysPreferred Qualifications:
      • Solid understanding of the principles of workforce management and/or Industrial Engineering
      • Familiarity with Resort systems, including GEMS, MyTime, and LDPS.
      • Solid understanding of the principles of workforce management and/or Industrial Engineering
      • Proficiency with programming languages including VBA and SQL.
      • Familiarity with forecasting methodology and tools (e.g. SAS).Required Education:Bachelor's Degree or related previous work history.Preferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology, or related analytical field or related previous work history.
