Job Description:
Non-Exempt: The hourly salary range for this role is:
$25.52/hour - $40.83hour.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Workflow Systems Analyst is responsible for performing system
administration and application maintenance for the organization's
enterprise content management systems that is used by Wescom and
WRG clients, in order to ensure a quality of system performance
that is marked by high availability and operational efficiency.
This position performs complex technical functions and
sophisticated operational tasks in support of enterprise content
management operations, frequently involving technical interaction
with third-party vendors and assistance from IBM technical
staff.
This position is heavily involved in internal software design,
development, and configuration activities, utilizing IBM and Kofax
image management software, including enhancements to
document-routing eProcess workflow software, as well as specialized
project activities, such as customized batch importing of document
images.
The Workflow Systems Analyst may also be asked to perform all
departmental functions, as needed, in order to keep the
department's overall operations and services current and within
service levels that are consistent with high quality member
service, which is defined by Wescom's Mission Statement, Vision
Statement, and Core Ideology.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Proactively monitor the system and application performance of the
enterprise content management system as well as for multiple custom
applications. Independently exercise problem identification,
diagnosis, and resolution; collaborating when necessary with
application support vendors; and initiating escalation using
excellent judgment.
Perform and document the "Daily System Checks" procedures.
Initiate and monitor daily maintenance routines that support the
department's operations.
Conduct application training to internal and external clients and
document procedures.
Work closely with application vendors during patches, upgrades, and
installations. Test and control changes utilizing development
platform and follow through to production environment. May be
required to install, distribute, and expand services not requiring
vendor expertise.
Maintain and administer user and application security; perform
application configuration. Create document templates, layouts and
storage profiles.
Provide support for end-user experience and document requests and
resolution in online tracking system.
Serve as a resource person, trainer or back-up floater, requiring
minimal or no direction, to support department operations to remain
within service level that may include abstract and classifying
documents, analyze files/documents to determine relevancy and
consistency of data and identify critical data, capture,
validation, and verification, quality control, release monitoring,
research request fulfillment, warehouse inventory management.
Conduct cross-training on department functions.
Make suggestions for production and system improvements, and upon
approval initiate action for implementation.
Define and document customer requirements for records management
and workflow initiatives from requirements analysis that may
include collaborating with users, programmers, vendors, et al. May
draft requirements for work orders.
Participate in department projects and lead major projects, meeting
task deadlines to ensure timely implementation. May create and
update project plan.
Perform eForm and workflow design and application configuration
development utilizing product application tools.
Create test scripts, conduct testing and document test results.
Support department project implementations, end-user installations,
configurations and upgrades through problem isolation, verification
and resolution; document issues. May include on-site and/or on-call
support.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer
Science preferred, or a 2-year certification from a technical
vocational school, or comparable work experience, and previous
experience in a financial industry preferred.
Knowledge of document imaging/management and workflow concepts.
Demonstrated experience with a Microsoft Windows desktop and server
environment. Experience with setting up application environments,
basic networking knowledge, and support of end-user experience.
Kofax Ascent and FileNet technical education, either formal class
or on-the-job training a plus.

Experience with web server configurations
Experience using design tools
Experience in systems analysis and design background
Simple form interface design
Forms automation
Integrating external databases into form automation
Integrating forms with a step processor interface and logic
Mapping data between form and workflow definitions
Install and configure services
Web services integration
Data mining techniques
Setting system security and user/group profiles
Administer a library system
Experience with IBM DB2
Experience with SQL database
Experience creating web applications using html, activeX objects,
javascript, vb script and asp a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, strong
technical aptitude, planning, organizational, and time management
skills, effective interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills,
commitment to team participation and responsibility, and knowledge
of Symitar system a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Access, or other
database knowledge, Outlook, Project) or comparable
applications.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rates, ratios and percent and to draw and
interpret graphs.
ANALYTICAL SKILLS:
Ability to troubleshoot system and application problems, using
logical analysis to develop, test, and prove theories to diagnose
issues and engineer solutions.
