Pantry Area Manager This position is a traveling position overseeing IE and SD locations Job Summary Strong pack leader wanted! We are JustFoodForDogs and we are looking for an organized and determined Pantry Area Manager to be responsible for IE and SD region. The Pantry Area Manager is responsible for managing Nutrition Sales Consultant and the overall performance of multiple JustFoodForDogs pantries located in veterinary clinics, including (1) building store level relationships with Veterinary Partners in order to bridge the gap between Pantry and Vet Clinic, (2) developing and managing JFFD team members and (3) driving pantry level sales beyond given goals. The Pantry Area Manager is a leader capable of managing sales and operations in multiple pantry locations and independently making key decisions in alignment with company standards. Key Responsibilities • Directly supervise the Nutrition Sales Consultant team, manage schedules, train and develop to help achieve performance and store goals, and hire/on-board Nutrition Sales Consultants when needed • Track and maintain metrics defined under the Field Program (JustFoodForDogs’ standards), including reaching a minimum number of store visits, trainings, and customer/partner conversions • Meet or exceed monthly budget for store-level profitability; identify root cause and corrective actions for missed targets • Develop a good working relationship with the Veterinary Partner, Department Leaders, and nonleader Partners • Know your store’s sales targets vs POS weekly, monthly, and quarterly to date numbers; Keep targets on file, and review with Veterinary Partner & Nutrition Sales Consultants in order to set goals • Manage inventory: work with Nutrition Sales Consultant, Veterinary Partner, and other Department Leaders to ensure proper counts/stock on JFFD products • Ensure Nutrition Sales Consultants maintain effective merchandising and product display • Develop and deliver marketing plans (in coordination with HQ efforts) to increase store traffic • Ensure the pantries adhere to all pantry operational standards and effectively implement strategic change initiatives Qualifications • Ability to build, lead and motivate effective teams • Ability to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities • A love for retail, nutrition, dogs and a desire to create the ultimate customer experience • Clear, concise written and verbal communications • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Attention to detail • Flexibility with change (as we are a rapidly growing business) • At least one year of experience in a managerial role within the retail industry (JFFD Sr. Nutrition Consultant) • High School Diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred Who We Are Join us in the movement to ensure longer and healthier lives for dogs and cats.
